NOI is a minimally designed beauty salon located in Amman, Jordan.
The design responded to the brief that envisioned a new layout and an interior design with minimalistic aesthetic and neutral colors. The aim was to elevate the everyday experience of clients while establishing a visual dialogue with the lively streetscape.
A large full-height window allows natural light to flow through the interior. The intentionally gentle space has light, textural, and neutral materials that create a quiet backdrop to the salon activity. A choreographed spatial sequence offers a diverse atmosphere for salon services and provides functionality and flexibility for staff.
Services are laid out in an open plan, and the spatial sequence is enriched with a sensual material palette and clean lines. The walls are painted in soft colors, the floors are covered in light-colored tiles, and the furniture was custom designed and built to reflect a simple and modern feel.
A large wooden partition from floor to ceiling is placed at the entrance giving privacy to the rest of the salon. The partition is assembled with wooden shelves for product display and equipped with a frosted glass back to vividly allow natural light to enter the reception area.
The hair treatment section is divided from the main space by a glass partition to allow maximum visibility and to visually maintain an open plan feel.
